I have many local crafty friends who inspire me on a regular basis, but today I want to focus on two in particular:
Lisa. She and I met a few years back at a local knitting group. We rarely get to see each other (um, when was the last time we saw each other?) because of our crazy hectic lives which involve toddlers but stay in touch via each other's blogs and Facebook. There are many things that I find inspiring about Lisa, but right now what's getting me is her amazing strength as a mama and her discipline when it comes to budgeting, cooking, and things like that. Heart Heart.
Heather. The crazy thing about my friendship with Heather is that we have never met, even though we basically live in each other's backyards (ok, give or take an hour and a half or so!). But she was kind enough to have me design a cowl for her Taste of Shivaya club (thanks to the lovely Stacy who was the middlewoman) and we keep in touch via blogs, Facebook and Twitter (yes, I've joined yet another time suck). I love reading Heather's blog because not only does she talk about her journey as indie yarn dyer, she also shares her boys' homeschooling projects, her craftiness, and all the things that inspire her. Heart Heart.
These women help me remind myself that I can be a better person, mama, crafter, and work harder to live the life I want to live. My one question to them both is this: when do you sleep? :)
