Now that everyone is stuffed to the gills from yesterday's celebrations, I thought I'd focus on some yummy foods that aren't Thanksgiving related. These are some great recipes that I've been using lately:
* I have become a big fan of this website this fall. (Did I ever mention that one of the best presents that I received after Satya was born was a crockpot? Life saver, let me tell you). I tried this soup recipe earlier this week and it was great.
* Another recipe from crockpot365, which I've made many times this fall is this sundried tomato sauce. YYY-UUUMMMMM. I usually add chicken to it to make it more hearty. Really YUM.
*O.M.G. This steak recipe is absolutely amazing. I usually whip up some black beans and some rice and an avocado salad. Just beware: chopping jalapenos + having eczema on your hand+ having to play an opera= VERY VERY BAD COMBINATION (it took a lot of rubbing alcohol and about 9 hours for it to go away completely. Funny thing is that I really haven't had an eczema flare-up since....)
* BBQ tofu, blackeyed peas, assorted chard and quinoa. When I read this post on Lolly's blog, I had to make this meal that evening. I basically just whipped it up. and YUM. Really YUM.
* Tonight for dinner, I made this salmon dish. Will definitely become a regular.
* This bread recipe is awesome. And it's No-Knead. The first time I made this bread, I ended up making three loaves in two days. It's that good, and that easy!
* I make this tofu dish often for Satya. Minus the sesame seeds. She loves it, she practically inhales it. And actually, so do I!
* I made this for Satya tonight. Pretty yummy, although I went a little overboard with onions. Nice flavor though, and I added brown rice to it when I pureed it for her. (She still only has 5 1/2 teeth!!)
*Delicata Squash. Any way you like it. I just roast it. Y------U-----M!!!!
Omg I'm going to crash. Please cross all crossables that we all have a good night's sleep!
Happy Eating!
