Hold on while I jump back on.....

Because apparently I've fallen off the face of the earth. Is it really already almost February? January hit me hard. Hit the whole family hard. I went back to work and wow, I didn't realize it would be so hard! Satya decided to scream bloody murder for two weeks and then got over it and is now really great at night with the babysitters. We're still working on the whole sleep thing, but we have our good days too. When my dad was here he bought her a swing how we went for four months without this miracle chair I don't know... and THANK GOODNESS we have one! She loves it and loves to take naps in it!
Anyway, about eight months ago I agreed to do a quartet concert that happened this past Saturday. Back then I don't think I realized that that was a HUGE MISTAKE to do the same month as returning to work, during one of our hardest weeks, barely in violin shape with a 4 1/2 month old who has been attached to my side the whole time. Wow, the lessons you learn!! Anyway, major stress, but I did it and it went pretty well. I must thank Judy for coming! I hope a lot of good knitting was done! Now my musical life has slowed down, thank goodness and I can go back to being totally neurotic about Satya and maybe knit a stitch or two. Still hoping to get Lovey's sweater done sometime before the end of winter.....
Oh, and I have something like 1850 bloglines to catch up on. Ha. The sad thing is, I want to try to read them all!!
Here are some recent pictures of the babe, since I have absolutely no knitting content. These pictures were taken last weekend when Lovey performed a concerto down in Colorado Springs. These were taken prior to the massive poopy explosion that took place at the end of his concerto. :)

Holiday Recap

Img_1396The expression on Satya's face basically sums up our holiday. I swear someone came and switched our baby with one who was mega-fussy and mega-awake. And I mean MEGA. She also has become very Mommy-needy (I don't blame her, I'm a lot of fun). But then for some reason our happy baby returned to us yesterday and I think hope we are on the upswing.
I have been reading many wonderful 2007 summary posts all over blogland and wow, you people sure have a ton of FOs. The sweaters! Amazing! And look what Anne did in ONE MONTH! Me? Did I even finish three projects this year? Maybe? Pretty pathetic, unless you count my best FO ever. I am now hoping that Lovey gets his sweater before Winter is over. And then it's all "leisure" knitting from now on....... I am finally on my second sleeve, and can I tell you? I really don't like M1s. Or at least M1s with this yarn. I am hoping that the sleeve will look better once blocked. I am praying!

(ETA: Winners, I've put your name next to the yarn you'll be getting. Hope you're happy with what you got! I plan to send them out Monday)

So, for my Traditions Contest, I decided to choose 4 winners randomly, using the random number generator.

The winners are:
Adelle,Kate,Starfish,Wendie

Congratulations! Please email me your address and I will send you some yarn!
Oh, would you like to see your choices?
