Petite Purls Summer 2011

Oh hai. It's been a while. I am here at TNNA this weekend, and Brandy and I just went live with our Summer 2011 issue today, together! Go check it out. It's awesome, if I may say so myself!

It's been a busy Spring. I plan to be back soon!

Clean: Day 22

Somehow I didn't realize that yesterday was Day 21, the last official day of the Clean diet. But hurray! I did it! and I feel great, but you know what? I'm hungry!

Week Three Weigh-in:  130 lbs. Huh. Well, I guess I only had 6 lbs of toxins in me, didn't need to lose any more weight. I did go down like 1.5 pants sizes, which is annoying since they don't make sizes like that. I did get to go buy a new pair of jeans this weekend (SIZE 6!!!) and love them, except that they're too big still! I know that I'm not a size 4. I'd have to saw off my hips to be a size 4!

How do I feel after doing this cleanse? Fantastic! My eczema is gone. My skin looks great. I've slimmed down. I feel like I did in college, which is a good thing. (Still just as poor too! LOL). But you know what? The last four nights I've gone to bed hungry and crabby because of it. I definitely think that 21 days is plenty, at least it was for me. I plan to continue the AM smoothies, amazing lunches, but am going to start including a big salad for dinner. I'll be honest, I just ate part of an oatmeal muffin (homemade, organic), and it really didn't do much for me.  It didn't taste fresh like all of the green food I've been eating (obviously), so I'm sure I won't be jumping onto the carb train anytime soon. I just need more food daily, period.

I highly recommend this plan to anyone who is looking to do a little spring cleaning. I am sure I will do it again, even if it's just a week here, a week there, but plan to do the full 21 days once a year, as Dr. Junger recommends.
